Mark Jackson, the founder of SwagDrop (formerly Promotion Resource Group), has been at the forefront of the promotional industry since 1992. After successfully selling a prior promotional agency, Mark embarked on a mission to redefine the power of swag, creating memorable experiences for recipients worldwide. His passion for crafting the perfect reaction through swag is matched only by his love for golfing, podcasts, reading and restoring vintage muscle cars.
A relentless researcher and thought leader, Mark has authored impactful white papers on the efficacy of swag and has been featured in Strategy magazine. His ethnography research unveiled the lasting emotional connections swag can forge—even revealing the unexpected ways negative reactions to swag can influence brand perceptions.
During the pandemic, recognizing the evolving needs of HR departments, Mark launched 'The New HR' podcast, further establishing SwagDrop as a pivotal resource in remote onboarding and employee engagement.
Educated at the University of Manitoba, Sheridan College, and Queen's University, Mark's journey from Winnipeg to Toronto and abroad has been driven by his commitment to putting the very best branded merchandise into the hands of those who matter most to us. A self-described 'head swag sommelier' and chocoholic, Mark's unique approach to promotional marketing continues to innovate and inspire.
Beyond SwagDrop, Mark has lent his expertise to the ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute) Advisory Board, focusing on technology and operations to ensure the industry's growth and adaptability.
Mark lives by a simple yet powerful philosophy: 'Forward, keep moving forward, there is a reason that your car windshield is big and your rearview mirror is small. Be conscious of the past but don't get stuck in it, keep looking ahead and moving forward.' This mindset not only fuels his business strategy but also guides his personal life, encouraging a focus on innovation, future possibilities, and the continuous pursuit of excellence.
